We did a living Rosary with third grade and fifth graders. Each child begins a \u201cHail Mary\u201d or an \u201cOur Father\u201d (Over\u00a0 60 students\/ prayers!) We said the Glorious Mysteries. We explained what each of the Glorious Mysteries meant. \u00a0The explanation of the Rosary is on page 15 of the \u201cBlest are We\u201d grade 4.\u00a0 <\/i>This month (October) is the month of the Rosary.<\/p>\n

We cut out the prayers on the handouts \u201cOur Prayers\u201d(below) and pasted them to the inside covers of our books and folders.\u00a0 We will refer to them often.<\/p>\n

We began the Old testament story of Joseph. His father was Jacob (also known as \u201cIsrael\u201d). Jacob had 12 sons. They would be the 12 tribes of the nation Israel. Joseph\u2019s brothers were jealous of him and did a horrible thing to Joseph.\u00a0 But, God used this misfortune to save the nation of Israel from starvation many years later.<\/p>\n
