Visit the Manger scene in the church.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wisemen.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-138\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wisemen-279x300.jpg\" alt=\"wisemen\" width=\"279\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gettysburghope.com\/ccd4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wisemen-279x300.jpg 279w, https:\/\/www.gettysburghope.com\/ccd4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wisemen.jpg 453w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 279px) 100vw, 279px\" \/><\/a>We said a special prayer for our loved ones, and lit a candle for them.\u00a0 We saw the Stations of the Cross, the Tabernacle,the Sanctuary Lamp, the Baptismal Font and the Holy Oils: (<strong>Oil of Catechumens<\/strong> which is used to bless and strengthen those preparing for baptism; the <strong>Oil of the Sick<\/strong> with which the priest brings Jesus\u2019 strength and healing to those who are joined with the suffering Christ in serious illness; and the <strong>Sacred Chrism<\/strong> which is used in celebrating the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders)\u00a0 We looked behind the sanctuary at the vesting room, at the altar stone under the altar cloth and inside the confessionals.<\/p>\n<p>Craft:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/PDF\/paper-church.pdf\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/PDF\/paper-church.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Inside the Church<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/PDF\/Fold-up-church-instructions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Inside Church instructions<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content cf\">\n<p>If we have time we will reenact a baptism in the church<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hickorytown.com\/ccd4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Baptism-of-Jordan-Carol.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Baptism-of-Jordan-Carol<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jesus is presented in the temple and Joseph and Mary flee to Egypt. We follow Mary and Joseph\u2019s path from Nazareth to Bethlehem and Egypt on our map. 12- year-old Jesus is lost, He is teaching in the temple.
