Joseph (continued)<\/h2>\n

This week we reviewed Joesph’s Life and how much faith he had to have: To live in prison, to lose his family, to live in a foreign land, to live by a foreign religion and to be forsaken by his brothers. Sometimes when hard things happen to people, they start to believe there is no God.\u00a0 But God can use our hardships to bless us later.\u00a0 Joseph used his gift of dreams (even in prison!) to gain favor with Pharaoh.\u00a0 He was able to save his whole family from starvation!<\/p>\n

Day of the Dead<\/h2>\n

We talked about the Day of the Dead (D\u00eda<\/em> de Muertos<\/em>) a Mexican Celebration of all the souls that died.\u00a0 We set up an “altar” with a statue of Mary, flowers, and pictures of loved ones that have passed.\u00a0 We did the prayer service below and each student remembered someone from his or her family that had passed away.<\/p>\n
